Michael and Lisa are both from Saugus MA. They met through Lisa's cousin, Michael's best friend. Seeing each other at family get togethers for years graduated into dating a handful of years later. They were married in 1991.

They had their son, Matthew, in 1994 and daughter, Kylie, in 1998. They are wonderful, smart and caring kids. They enjoy being together and with extended family as much as possible.

Michael's background is in hotel management. He started in a company working their fast food restaurants, which turned into managing them which turned into opening their new locations. He then transferred into their hotel division and was a hotel manager then area supervisor. Clearly his potential was huge.

Lisa worked for her families business, construction specializing in kitchens. Her focus was designing kitchens, additions and homes. She took some time away from this business to work in a salon and quickly moved up to managing a location on Newbury Street in Boston.

They both had bigger ambitions than working for and making money for others companies. They new they were both willing to take the necessary risks and try to live the American dream.

They looked at many companies before finding the one. In 2001 they bought The Pie Guy. It was a tiny business in Plymouth NH, making about 200 pies a week. They knew they could improve and grow this company. While planning to bring it to Salem, NH recipes were tweaked and new ones created. Working hard, very hard, at their new company, The Pie Guy moved from a 1,000 square foot production facility to a 2,000 square foot facility thinking they had all the room in the world. Two years later The Pie Guy moved again . . . to a 9,000 foot facility. This is the current location in Salem, NH. Which now produces about 20,000 pies a week – grow it did.

They enjoy their company, with all of the ups and downs of owning a business, it was the right call and they plan to continue to make yummy pies.
